White Space Animation
Group project with Chris Gonzalez
Overview
We studied different type rules throughout the semester and one of them was white space. For this project, we partnered with another student to create a short animation about the type tool white space. We were tasked with using frame animation and riso-prinitng to create this animation.
Process
With my partner, we concepted the importance of white space and what it is to us. We wanted to display it as a tool to design that is clean, classy, organizational, and an important design tool. Through this animation, we experimented with gradients and using elements to represent white space and its vital use as a design tool. We individually created 96 frames and printed them on the Riso printer using red and yellow. We then scanned each print and stitched them together to create a frame animation. I later added sound to the animation as well.
